Since the birth of the demoscene, demogroups have always used logos, first on cracktros – perhaps in ASCII or PETSCII, then in demos. Logos rapidly evolved as an art form in their own right, with talented graphic designers creating elaborate and innovative designs despite the restrictions imposed on them by their chosen machine. Many graphic designers have developed special techniques for creating logos with limited palettes, resolution or tooling.
“Demoscene: the Logo Art” is the first book dedicated to logos and their creators for all demoscenes (Amstrad, Amiga, Atari, Commodore 64, PC, Pico 8, NES, SNES, PS2, etc…). Find hundreds of logos and exclusive content about the people who created them. Through its 400 pages you will discover more than 30 years of logo history within the demoscene.

Truely a good book to go through, reliving all the memories of the beautiful arts.
The packaging was awesome for the Kickstarters (special box with extra’s).
Only wish is that the had book started earlier in time. 10 years or so. There was already excellent art being produced, also with art-packs (ascii/ansi). That could have avoided also to a wider spread in art groups and therefor less feeling of ‘more of the same’.

Great book and great quality! Love it so much and it‘s worth every Euro!❤️

This is the second book that I’ve bought from Editions64k and I’m yet to be disappointed. The quality of the book and the passion that has gone into creating it is wonderful. The book is a lot bigger than I expected too. It’s jam packed with so many logos and has the great addition of stories and explanations from some of the artists..
I bought this book for my boyfriends as a Christmas Present and he was over the moon with it. We’ve spent hours pouring over the book together spotting our favourite demo logos on Amiga and C64 (though there’s a variety of platforms covered!).
The demoscene needs more recognition and it’s awesome to see it’s being docimented in these books. This one is definitely a must have for any demo art lovers book collection!

just amazing! so much digital art in one package! When I was leafing through the book and looking at the logos from my old Amiga days, I could sometimes hear the intro music to these artworks. 🙂

Superb book with loads of memories. I preferred the beginning of the book and the earlier years when pixelling and antialiasing really was an art and not done for you by a more modern machine. Again great to see some of my pieces in full colour.

Nice book, big format. Very good quality printing. Nice to see all those logos again.
